HELP !!!!! Admin menus display wrong

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Re: Admin menus display wrong

Hi,

today I did my about tenth installation and I encountered for the first time the problems you described. I really wondered and was a little bit shocked – until I found that on the frontend (i.e. the demo pages that were installed during the installation) the news and the menu were missing.
So I returned to the backend and found (under "Extensions" that the modules all were present – but none had the "installed" status. So you simply have to click on the word "Install" behind all of them to install them. This takes about a minute and now everything is running fine.
Note: You can install in what order you like. But as there is a dependency you have to install nuSOAP before you can install ModuleManager.

I attach two screenshots for the status before and after module installation.

I have no idea why this happened – I think a guru will have to look into it?

Otherwise you made a very good decision: This CMS is really easy to handle and it‘s great and powerful, too!

Good luck

Reinhard

P.S.: This stupid new forum does not let me attach images (tried gifs and jpegs). The help section doesn't help, either. So: no attachements!

Hi,

I‘ve never before seen anything like this. Maybe one of the more knowledgeable people could help you better.

But my first idea:
You mentioned above that you are new here. So I thought this to be your first installation. But in your list of modules there are many more modules than come with the core installation! So I‘d check:
• How did you install them? With the module manager, upload or manually?
• Do you have a php-limit? So maybe there are to many modules and everything stops now?
• Try to deactivate or remove the none-core modules (maybe manually, search the forum, I am not sure of this …) and see if everything starts to work as expected.

Good luck

Reinhard

Hello,

Please check images:

http://vippt.com/install1.jpg
http://vippt.com/install2.jpg

There are no warning at all.
1st Install .... Downloaded the cmsmadesimple-1.9.2-full.tar.gz uploaded to server unpacked at server and installed.
2nd Install ... Downloaded cmsmadesimple-1.9.2-full.tar.gz open to new folder ao desktop ulploaded with FTP ( same way as all scripts i install )

Still the problem http://vippt.com/imagens/modul.jpg , whats wrong or what i´m doing wrong?
I´m able to install any other scripts without problems at all.

Thank you
