Hi everyone,
I don't really know if this is a bug or if I am just doing something wrong, so I am giving a shot to the forum before going to the Forge for bug report. I must say the 2.0 release of CTL ModuleMaker looks full of new possibilities and improvements but I am having a hard time adjusting to the change of "mentality".
In short : I am using several fields in my modules created with CTL Module Maker that have Image or File type. When editing my entries in my module, they show up as normal text fields and not file upload fields.
I have unsintalled / reinstalled, browsed various php docs in the module, check the upload path, tried in Safari / Firefx / Opera, no luck.
Is that a know problem? a bug? something I am doing wrong? Should I report a bug in the Forge?
Using CMSMS 1.9.2 with CTL Module Maker 2.0.3.
Thanks for the attention,
Best,
Colin

I know exactly how you feel! The change gave me a hard time too but after I understood how it works I saw the potential.cmaunoury wrote:Hi everyone,

What you need to do is install http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/plfilehandler too. Then your filefields work as they should with upload and everything.

Thanks a lot, Bernd.
It was then a bit stupid, but I could lose even more time finding this.
I guess the main problem with the new version is the lack of documentation / tutorials. It's been a few times now I am giving some time to play around with the version 2 and end up using the old one on my websites because losing too much time solving problems with hierarchy.
I'd be happy to contribute time to it (can't do much else), but I guess I'd be a poor addition with my little command of the new version.
Anyways, thanks for your quick response.
Best,
Colin
