[SOLVED] Calendar Module in Header

Post by a1000w »

I would like to place a calendar module in the right side of the header of my site. ... just to display the top 3-4 upcoming events. (Or better yet, on the right side of the site on all pages.)

Have set up a Calendar Module and have already entered events.... but am having difficulty understanding how this all works :-[ .... both in the display on the home page of the 3-4 newest events... and also on the actual calendar page.

Need specific instructions, please.... so that once I have this set up, my client will be able to make modifications to the calendar himself.

Thank you!

Are you using Calendar or CGCalendar, Calendar is old and no longer supported, if CGCalendar look in it's help page for how to call it...

I assume it's just Calendar (it's listed as such in the setup).... the only thing available to me in the setup that the server admin originally did a few weeks ago. How do I (we) update to CGCalendar, please?

They are not compatible so you can't have both installed on same site and no way to import data from one to the other, if you don't have a lot in it I would un-install Calendar, remove it, then install CGCalendar which should be available in Extensions > Module Manager...

Thank you. Had them install CGCalendar, and it's what I was looking for!
