WYSIWYG on MAC?

Post by mdc »

The only combination of editors and browsers on the MAC that seem to work is Firefox + FCKEditor.

FCKEditor doesn't work on Safari or Chrome (just show up as text, not WYSIWYG)
TinyMCE doesn't appear to work on any of the browsers (the edit window comes up, but the toolbar is totally blank).

CMSMS: 1.8.2
TinyMCE version: 2.7.3 (upgraded from stock to see if it worked)
FCKEditorX: 1.0.5

I usually use safari or Chrome. Does anyone know a combination other than FF+FCKEditor that works???

Thanks,
Mark

mdc,

I've a site with CMSMS 1.8.2 and use TinyMCE 2.7.2 with the default set of WYSIWYG options.

Have you tried: from the extension menu TinyMCE WYSIWYG and next use the button Reset Defaults?

You are using Safari on a MAC?

And, yep, I tried resetting the defaults (I don't think I ever changed them), no luck.

mdc,

Yes I'm using Safari. Weird we don't have the same results.
Do you have the problems in the back end on an externally used server (so with a provider) or a local version?

It is a local install.
