Hi guys,
Little problem, I have a newsfeed on www.presgirlsmaynooth.ie (bottom left hand corner), when you click on the link it tries to load it within the page.
It should link directly through to a news article on the http://www.presgirlsmaynooth.ie/news-events.html page. It was working before with version 1.6 and i've updated to 1.9 and this problem has just started with the upgrade.
It would appear CGFeedmaker isn't generating the correct link.
Example: Science Week link from the news/events page - this is the correct link:
http://www.presgirlsmaynooth.ie/news/21 ... -Week.html
Example URL generated from feedmaker:
http://www.presgirlsmaynooth.ie/news/21 ... -Week.html
Odd, possible root of problem? Any ideas?
Thanks!
CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
Re: CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
I am experiencing the same issue, also since I upgraded CMSMS to 1.9, with CGFeedmaker 1.0.11
Things already tried to resolve this:
-upgraded CGExtensions to 1.22.1
-re-created the landing page
-tried without a specified landing page
-used the default feed template
-created several test feeds with different settings
Bottom line is that the URL that is created does not work.
Somehow the wrong template is used.
I hope this can be resolved soon!

Re: CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
This may not be the right solution for you, but I have always used feedburner to generate feeds and they work fine with CalGuy's Feed module and there were no burps during upgrades.
Might that be a solution for you to consider?

Re: CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
The returnid (the page the article is displayed on) is set in the feed preferences.
Re: CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
The issue is not with the return page. I have tried creating different pages, it didn't help.
The issue is that somehow in the URL (with pretty urls on) a wrong path is created.
As the examples provided by Stakey in the original post show, the URL is wrong.
Some more examples:
Correct URL:
http://www.vcspaarnestad.nl/news/133/11 ... -punt.html
Generated URL from CGFeedmaker:
http://www.vcspaarnestad.nl/news/133/15 ... -punt.html
The difference is in 15 instead of 118.
In the example of Stakey it is 15 instead of 110.
So where is this set/generated?

Re: CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
As I said that is the returnid (page id) and it is set in the feed preference.
Re: CGFeedmaker not generating correct link :S
I checked the pageid in the database, it is correctly set.
On the ´Details´page of the feed this is set in the field ´Use this page for links:´
However, the feed gives 15, no matter what is stored in the database.
Am I overlooking something?
