help with search results and news field definition

Hello, I am using cmsms 1.8.2
On the front of my site, when I enter something in my search box that brings up results (i.e. news links) and click on any news link, I notice that the field definition (I created under news in my admin), is now out of place on the front page.  What would I do need to do in order to have my field definition(s) show correctly after searching for a news article?  Is there a special styling code I need to implement for field definitions in my search results template?

If you mean they are laid out like they were on the other page or? most likely it has to do with style sheet/CSS...
