cmsms caching problem - maybe

Post by buzzby »

hi there, does cmsms have a temporary caching facility? i ask this as i am experiencing a lag. i have edited pages that show as bein edited but in my browsers the edits have not happened. i have cleared cache both in the cmsms and on the browser, i have checked the database to see if the content is the same as what is in the backend pages, both what is on the backend and database corrolate. i am not sure what else to do

chrome, firefox and IE show the same results. after about 10-15mins the edited content shows properly, any reasons for this? i also have to re log into the CMSMS frequently as well. i am on a windows IIS7 server with windows authentication set so only certain ppl can see the site

cheers

As most here run on linux and I've not heard of this before I would hazard to guess it's a windows server thing, maybe it's set to cache till x amount of time thinking it saves server power/queries...

i am still having problems with this. is there anything else i have not checked? does fopen have anything to do with it? i am on a windows server with windows authentication on so that a client can log into the site and no one else. sadly i cannot use the htaccess or htpasswd at all. (boohoo!!). the site refreshes every 20-30 mins but thats no good to me as i need to see how my site looks each time i update code or css etc.

i have checked the caching on both the CMSMS and all browsers i am using and its none of them. i figure it has something to do with the caching of the server. i have checked the web.config file in the project dir but nothing there relates to caching. is there something i can check on the actual windows server itself - if anyone knows.

thanks for your help
