Spry Accordion, issue with external javascript

Post by jana »

Hi,

I created a Spry Accordion in Dreamweaver for one of my pages (http://www.helicasemeeting.org/program; The actual conference program has entries for several days and I wanted the different schedules to slide in and out as opposed to people having to scroll down a lot).
Even though it works on a regular website, the accordion does not work on my page in CMSMS.

I uploaded SpryAccordion.js to my uploads directory and linked to it from the template:

I suppose the javascript is not being recognized. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

code in html page:

   July 31st, 2011

content 1

   August 1st, 2011
   content 2

I tried that but that's not it. The link to the javascript needs to be in the template, not the actual page, right?
Thanks again.

Guess I should have looked at the other 16 errors it gives off, seeing as how you have this in the middle of your page...

I see your point and I fixed everything. Yet the spry accordion still does not work.
For a change I embedded the javascript directly into the template with {literal}{/literal}, but that did not make the accordion work either.
So I am back linking to the external javascript.

The according does work though in a regular page, just not in CMSMS.

Do you have any other ideas? Thanks much.

I have no idea, do you have a link to a working one?...

Me, I would just use a jQuery one instead of a dreamveaver built one...
