Packt Publishing is pleased to announce that CMS Made Simple has won the Open Source CMS Award category in the 2010 Open Source Awards. CMS Made Simple has won this Award for the first time in the past five years, having been a presence in the Award since 2007.

The results of that did not pass by unnoticed. While CMS Made Simple occupied the top spot in the 2010 Open Source CMS category, extremely popular finalist SilverStripe, who grabbed the second runners up spot in last year’s Open Source CMS Award, secured the first runner up position. MODx, the first runners up in the 2009 Open Source CMS Award, this year will have to settle for the second runners up position.
This announcement marks the last day of the 2010 Open Source Award. The Award continued to be a great success with over 7,000 nominations received and over 24,000 votes received across six categories.
