What *is* the news summmary length, and how to change it?

Sorry if this has been answered -- I've searched and searched.

What's the news summary limit -- the number that, when reached, causes CMSMS to add the morelink? And how would I change it? I'd like news summaries to be limited much shorter than they are by default.

i think so far it's only limited by the amount of words in the summary 'edit' box,, but you can limit the size of the box that shows on the page and the extra words wont show.
