page content disappeared

i installed cms made simple for a client, the latest version,
she was working on a long page, - using tinymce
she said the page looked fine she then pressed save.
and then 95% of the content disappeared on the published page,
so she effectively lost nearly all of the content of the page,

does anyone know why this could have happened?

Depends on how many characters were in it, there is a limit to how many it will hold, is a post on forum about character limit, please search, it has to do with some DB change to allow more characters per page...

I'm concerned about '95% missing'. The default amount is a pretty decent size. If 95% is missing because of this issue, that would be a pretty long page.

it wasn't a "massive" page, had text some tables and about 20 small photos,
she has another page on the site that is longer.
thing is it deleted the content and only left some text and 2 photos. - which were at the bottom of the page, all the top content went missing.

Did you look at the page source view to see if it wasn't just hidden, like set to have all white text on white background?...

yes tried that! even tried having  a hunt in the database, its all gone, so weird,
