In the Calguys Blog Module, there are tabs for "Default Templates" with the warning that the changes do not take effect immediately. So, when do they take effect if I do make changes there?
Next question, there are tabs for "Archive", "Detail", "Summary", etc. I have copied what I thought was the default, named and checked "Sample". Once copied and pasted, I gave it a new name, and made it default and made changes in the template. BUT, no changes on any pages with blog posts. What do you have to do to make the template marked "Default" apply for the pages that are being rendered? BTW, these tabs open under "Extensions", but you can't get to them by going to Calguys Module Extensions. Is this an error or bug?
Third, While I find the Help for CGBlog helpful, is there some additional documentation for the CG modules?
CGBlog Templates
Re: CGBlog Templates
The defaults are in case you need something to look at after you hose one of the ones under the other tabs, Summary, Detail, etc...
The ones under those tabs are the ones you should be changing if you want to customize any of the templates...
Summary, click the Summary tab, click add new and it will fill with a default summary template then you can remove/change what you want then hit submit, set the new one to default or in tag make the call to use yours and it should reflect in the front end...
He makes all his templates use the same place to edit templates, CGBlog, CGCalendar, etc., so no it's not a bug/error..

[SOLVED]Re: CGBlog Templates
You said I should make changes under the Summary, Details, Archives tab, click add new and I'll get one to use, set it to default or in "tag" make the call to use yours and it should reflect in the front end.
I did not find any of the CG stuff in "Tags", so not sure where you are talking about.

What was not clear is that when you put up a {CGBlog} for content, that gets you a "Summary" page of multiple posts, where clicking on a link for an individual post will get you a "Detail" page. I had made all the changes to the "Detail", and wasn't getting anything. Created a new Summary template, made it default and there it was. If you can reply about the "tags", I would appreciate it.

Re: [SOLVED]Re: CGBlog Templates
What he meant was that you can make your new template the default or you can call any template like this: {CGBlog summarytemplate="your template"} or {CGBlog detailtemplate="your template"}warpedjoe wrote: You said I should make changes under the Summary, Details, Archives tab, click add new and I'll get one to use, set it to default or in "tag" make the call to use yours and it should reflect in the front end.
