When users post an article from the front end, an automatic expiry date is being set. I have tried different ways to remove this. I have tried leaving the default expiry field blank in News Module's Options settings and entering a 0 but it makes no difference. Articles submitted from the front-end are given an automatic 6 month expiry date regardless. This doesn't happen if I post an article from the back-end, then no expiry date is set unless I manually choose to enter one.
Is there code which I can enter into the form template to stop an automatic expiry being set on 'fesubmit' action?
Your help is very much appreciated.

How to stop automatic expiry date on front-end submission of article?
Re: How to stop automatic expiry date on front-end submission of article?
1.7.1 is not supported. Please update to 1.8.2 and check the behavior there.

You may find it as an option in the News admin, but please upgrade before reporting back here...

The options-tab of News, has a field that sets the # of days for the expiration.
For FE-submitted entries, will always have expiration set, the setting can expand the duration though....
