[SOLVED] Selfregistration paid packages + CG E-commerce

Post by jd447 »

I created a paid package subscription in selfregistration 1.6.5. But i cannot modify the gateway policy in E-commerce 1.2.2 therefore i got this when trying to register:
The policy of this website does not allow adding this item to your cart. Please contact the site administrator

Code: Select all

Gateway Policy
Maximum Number of Products in one Cart:
Unlimited
Maximum Number of Services in one Cart:
Unlimited
Maximum Number of Subscriptions in one Cart:
0
Allow a mixture of products, services and subscriptions in one cart?:
No
Other installed modules:

- cart 1.7.2
- paypal gateway 2.2

all that on CMSMS 1.8.1.

any clue would be really appreciated!

First of all, thanks Jeremy for your help!

So, some more informations:

when I choose "none" in the paiement settings (in Ecom base), the gateway policy is correct:

Code: Select all

Gateway Policy
Maximum Number of Products in one Cart:
Unlimited
Maximum Number of Services in one Cart:
Unlimited
Maximum Number of Subscriptions in one Cart:
Unlimited
Allow a mixture of products, services and subscriptions in one cart?:
Yes
but as soon as I choose the paypal gateway the settings are back to 0 for the subscriptions.

My guess is that the gateway needs a currency code or a weight? could that be possible?

Hello, Yes, in the ecom base fill out every field for sure.. there is one in there.. I think its weight or something that has to be filled.  Best bet is do them all even if you know it'll be fake.. Next thing.. also click the submit on each page.. the form may be broken up.. IIRC that is..

I should be noted that .. "The policy of this website does not allow adding this item to your cart. Please contact the site administrator"

Could mean that you have to many of that item in a cart..

Hope that helps.. Cheers -Jeremy

I have the exact same issue.  When I'm on the CGEcommerce pages to set the settings I notice the following error.  Could it be I have a corrupt install?

Webpage error details

Did you get it to checkout with PayPal?
I see the 3 membership options I created, then I register, then the next screen is the 3 options again... any idea what I may be doing wrong?

Jeremy my problem was as you suggested "Item in cart" so it was returning this error.

In addition, it seems you have to select "Enable Paypal IPN" to get the subscription value to output "1".

I am designing a subscription system right now. Is there any other payment gateway module that Self Registration Packages will work with?

I've got the same issues 10.1.2... The policy of this websit

Post by robsta »

I don't have a payment gateway - everything is by invoice - my policies allow for paid registration packages - everything works up until the order is sent to the cart page and I get

"The policy of this website does not allow adding this item to your cart. Please contact the site administrator"

I have unlimited everything on the subscriptions etc in the policies, no paypal gateway (not required).

Is there anyway to ignore this error and continue?

Thanks in Advance

@robsta Have you been able to get this to work? I am trying to do the same thing; have paid subscriptions without a payment gateway, just manual payment. I got as processing the order, but the user doesn't get added to FEU.
