[Solved] New to CMS Made Simple

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved] New to CMS Made Simple

Post by Sokar »

Hi All,

I am new to CMS Made Simple but looks good so far.

I was wondering if it is possible to set up this in a sub folder on my hosting server and use as a test system to learn how to create sites with it.

As I say I am new to this so all help would be greatly appreciated.  ;D

And if there are any great tutorials that may help me would be great as well.

Thanks in advance  Andy.

You really SHOULD install everything in a subfolder to keep the mess out of your server's root directory.

Yes it is very easy to use in a subfolder, so it would be [root]/subfolder upload it there then in front end site.com/subfolder/install/ and it should be fine from there...

@replytomk3
I don't think they mean root root but the www, public_html, or what ever folder most normal servers give for the site to go in...
