Integrating a menu into my template

Post by oneilldesign »

Hi all,

I'm using the latest version of CMSMS and this is my first ever installation (began using it two days ago). So far I've managed to get just about everything working, but I must admit that I can't make sense of the menu functionality.

I do understand the process of editing the relevant TPL file, creating an associated stylesheet in CMSMS and uploading the JS file to the appropriate folder, however I can't work out how to use the Smarty tags to structure my menu properly.

I'm using this menu: http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/final_drop.html

I've got my site working with a static root menu but that's about as far as I can get it.

Has anyone used the above menu with CMSMS previously, and if so do they have the relevant template/CSS/JS code for it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't that look and function a lot like this?...

http://multiintech.com/defaultcontent/i ... horizontal

Or the older one here...

http://multiintech.com/default/index.ph ... horizontal

The newer one is part of the default install and the older one is still available here...
