Where are the templates

Hi,

I'm not a website coder, I'm the business owner & I'm trying to get someone to help me do a few things on my sites & he doesn't know this CMS, nor does he like any CMSes for that matter, but that's besides the point

He can't find the template that belongs to our index pages.

Where are they usually located & how can you tell if that's the one that belongs to those pages?

Michelle,

templates are stored inside the database.

In Layout -> Templates, the stored templates are listed. Clicking the CSS-icon there will show the linked stylesheets to that template (also stored in database.)

When editing a page, the page is linked to a page-template. On the options-tab the template is selectable. In Content -> Pages, the template attached to a page is showing in one of the columns.

Unfortunately the person helping me broke a lot of things & made a lot of mistakes, so there's no point in telling him where the templates are now.

I'm going to post a hiring ad in the jobs area.
