Menu Manager vs. EllNav

Post by Kailoi »

Hi everybody. I´ve got a little Problem with templates after the upgrade to cmsms v0.12.

Did I get that right: the EllNav-module is not required in the new version of cmsms because of the MenuManager-module?

Now some content I created with the previous Version used customized Ellnav-Templates and now they don´t work anymore. Do I have to activate EllNav somehow or put some tag on each site now?

I used several templates in the 0.11-version.
For the start page I used EllNav horizontal-vertical with 2 Col (one being used for the news module)
For some other pages I used a horizontal  only 1 column template.
I changed some things in those templates. For example I removed the breadcrumbs-tags.

But I don´t know how to use the menu manager right. Where do I have to put the tags mentioned in the help-text?
if i select the old templates, no menu-bar appears.

I tried to exchange the css-menu tag with a menu-managertag in the templates, but then I receive a tree-structure of all pages, instead of a menu bar.

The templates for the new menu manager are in:
module/MenuManager/templates

You will find that the EllNav templates have already been translated into the new 'MenuManager' format and can be used or altered. For further information on modifying the templates you probably need ot know a little bit of Smarty, but it is quite easy. To use them in your templates look at the help in MenuManger in Admin.

Hope this helps
