Using CMSMS 1.8.1 and FEU 1.12 with the self-reg module 1.6.1
I notice that, although back-end users of CMS can have spaces in their usernames (e.g. John Smith), Front End Users cannot and I wonder if there is some particular reason for this, or whether it can be somehow got round. Reason is, I am hoping to import c. 300 users from another DB and many of them have spaces in their existing usernames. I would prefer it if I did not need to alter everyone's username and then have to go through the pain of explaining it all to them.
TIA

Weird! There was definitley a reply - and it worked too! Maybe the poster (someone called 'mebots') deleted it for some reason?
Re: [SOLVED] Front End Usernames and spaces
I'm guessing he posted a code hack, and it was removed by a moderator...

Re: [SOLVED] Front End Usernames and spaces
Possibly - although it was a very minor hack and doesn't seem to have affected the usability of the module in anyway that I can observe. I shan't re-post it in case that gets deleted too

Re: [SOLVED] Front End Usernames and spaces
Nope guys never delete it
Think also that the moderator saw it as a module hack.
