Cannot redeclare class mysql_driver_ADOConnection

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Cannot redeclare class mysql_driver_ADOConnection

I attempted to upgrade to the latest version but unfortunately i not getting the following error when trying to access the admin side of the cms.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class mysql_driver_ADOConnection in /lib/adodb_lite/adodbSQL_drivers/mysql/mysql_driver.inc  on line 1058

Also getting a site is down for maintenance on the home page.

Any suggestions?
