CMSMS Site integrated Wordpress

I would be interested in more integration between WordPress and CMSMS.  I think both products are excellent at what they excel in.  WordPress is definitely a leader in the blogging industry, and CMSMS is a very versatile and modular CMS.  What I have been doing for clients that wish to use WordPress as their blogging system if CMSMS is their CMS (usually is), is simply to link to their blog with a very similar WordPress Theme (either developed myself, or by another person/company).  This seems to be satisfactory for 'most' clients.

If you are looking to integrate a single post from (any) blog, there are several modules available which can post the RSS feeds directly into your own site.  This is simply another alternative to have that integrated site look and feel.

The CMS Made Simple blog is no longer handled by wordpress but uses the CGBlog module, they even made a module to import wordpress blogs into CGBlog and the comments into CGFeedback...

So if you want it integrated you will have to use the old tried and true, link to your WP from cmsms and make them both look the same with same templates...

I can probably get the XML, ajprog made it, not sure if it is in module repository...

It is an all in one, imports the post and comments together from a WP install...

Im assuming that the wordpress blogs have rss feeds here, but I think the most simple way to do this would be to use RSS2HTML http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/rss2html and pipe the feed in that way.

Thats only if you are sure you still need to use Wordpress. Take a look at some of the parameters for the built in News module. You might find that it actually does everything you want it to... Just because its not called Blog doesnt mean it cant BE a blog  :)
