500 Internal Server Error after upgrade

Hi all,

I require a little help with my upgrade!

I recently upgraded a client's site from 1.6.5 to 1.8.1 by transferring site files as I have always upgraded using FTP.

I'm now getting a 500 Internal Server error and I've no idea why? The .htaccess is fine and all files are present, but it won't let me /install/upgrade.php.

Any ideas?

Hi,

That's pretty frustrating. I've had error 500's too and posted questions to the forum. I know that I had problems with my .htaccess and had to ask my provider for help. I don't know the solution that helpen me, if I mey suggest you try the search option.
