[solved] Still not received mail after many change times!

Post by ngoncom »

Dear masters!

I have a problem with config sending mail.

In my CMSmailer, I config:

Character Set: utf-8
Mailer method: smtp
SMTP host name: smtp.gmail.com
Encryption mechanism: TLS
Port of SMTP server: 465
From address: ngoncom@gmail.com
Sendmail location: /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP Authentication: checked
Username: ngoncom@gmail.com
Password: ******

And in Formbuilder module I created field "*Email Results to set Address(es)" and inserted my email address.

But... email still not received!

I am using Godaddy hosting and enabled POP, IMAP in my gmail acc.

Thank masters!

I've searching and find out a tip to solved this issue:  ;D

"I would uninstall the mailer then install it again, all in module manager just hit the uninstall link then the install link and it should reset it to default configuration, then w/o changing anything hit save settings then try a test email to see if it works..." - Dr.CSS -

So that, all config in CMSmailer and Formbuilder  module will set to default (note that: you have to rebuild your form in Formbuilder module because after re-uninstall/re-install all set to default).

Now, CMSmailer:

Character Set: utf-8
Mailer method: smtp
SMTP host name: localhost
Encryption mechanism: none
Port of SMTP server: 25
From address: your email address
Sendmail location: /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP Authentication: not checked
Username: your email address above
Password: ******

And remember that, in Formbuilder module you must have field "Email Result to set Address(es)" have your email.

Thank!

If that doesn't do it for you, I ran into this same problem but with a different solution.

I host my websites through www.lonex.com and they have an "Outgoing Connections Manager" in the Control Panel. After going through your same issue, I realized that Lonex was blocking the IP that CMSMS was trying to use to send the mail and had to change a setting in my OCM to allow that IP. It now works like a charm! If re-installing the module doesn't do it for ya, try diving into GoDaddy (not a fan of GoDaddy so idk where it would be within the CP) and see if there is some sort of IP blocker that could be your problem.
