[SOLVED] how do I create content pages that are not seen in the tabs?

Being a newbie I can create content pages ok but now i want to be able to LINK to content pages without them being seen on tabs or sub tabs. This is because I want to have a category page with A to Z choices each of which will have a LINK to its own individual new page. But I don't want these new pages to appear on the pull down tabs. Anybody have any ideas please?

When editing a page, under Option, there is a checkbox for: Show in Menu.

You can link to pages using the CMSMS linker in Tiny.
