Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Webpage not available

Post by daevil »

Hey guys,

Server:
Apache version2.2.14
MySQL version5.0.91
PHP version5.3.1

Currently trying to install 1.8.1 full. - Uploaded via cpanel ftp. Permissions are set accordingly.

But I get the following error after the Check page.

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://www.domain.com/install/index.php might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

Was unable to find the resolution through a stroll on the forums.

I Appreciate your time in reading this.

Yep, after checking the installation files. It's weird.

Checksum passes?

Google search of the error?

Most likely server problem.

Attach a screenshot with the loading URL visible (you can erase site URL)

OK, I'm having a similar issue.  I upgraded from 1.7 to 1.8.0.  But when I clicked to go to the site or admin I get a 500 server error.  Same thing if I try to go back to upgrade.php

I cannot access my site AT ALL.  Please help.

Check your pretty URL settings in config.php. When upgrading did you run /install/upgrade.php?

Also, login into admin and clear cache.

If that fails, upload a test file and try to access it from the browser.

Thanks for the response!  But I just figured it out.  I had uploaded the wrong htaccess file.  As soon as I uploaded the correct one all was well.
