Product Review Website

Hello,

I have been asked to design and build a product review website. I have been playing around with Calguys Feedback module and Product Manager module. Both seem to do what I would like them to do.

My client has now asked if the product is not listed on the website is it possible to have the option for the visitor to to 'add a product' with a 'review of the product'. It would then be submitted for the website moderator to approve and publish to the product catalogue? If the option to add a product is possible then would it prevent duplicate products from being entered?

Does anybody know if this is all possible with these modules? I've been searching through the cmsms website and havent come across any info yet.

there is no such an action as "fe_submit" in Products module, but you can do that with  FormBuilder. On the first page there should be product form, it can be imported over CSV file or UDT that adds it directly to DB. Form submitting page or template can contain CGFeedback. Probably you will also need UDT that sends email to admin.

Thanks for your reply Peciura. To be honest my skills in coding arent advanced enough to action what you've suggested. Is this the kind of stuff a professional would need to tackle?

I would say experienced user would cope with your task. Complexity depends mainly on structure of your catalog, so when it is clear you could open thread in "Help Wanted (commercial)" or ask for paid help in #cms channel.
Most promising Products-FormBuilder solution, but you could do that with CTLModuleMaker, ShopMS, or FormBuilder-FormBrowser.

You might be able to use News for the front end submission as it has fe_submit, the news article would be set to draft then the Admin can look at it and move the item to the correct place...
