1.6 to 1.7 changes

1.6 to 1.7 changes

I have read some information about layout control in 1.6 that I do not see in 1.7 or being a newbie - probably just haven't found it yet.  ;D

The information showed using plus and minus signs to display or not display certain elements of the page, such as news, footer, search, etc. Is this somewhere else in 1.7 or is it specific to the template being used? My template is Hanging if it matters.

That is most likely template specific, it sounds like a jquery accordion function...

Or it is  simple built in CMSms tags "startExpandCollapse" and "stopExpandCollapse". You can find them on "Extensions » Tags"
