All pages missing [Solved]

Post by bbert0183 »

Hello, hopefully this is in the right section. At 530pm est our site was working fine. I got a call around 830pm est saying the site was down. I was able to log into the GUI and went to pages, all of our pages were gone but global content blocks and news was fine.

I have called our hosting provider and they have a ticket open to restore the database to a previous time. While on the phone I logged into the phpmyadmin panel (I am not well versed in the 'backend' of websites) and started looking around and found a label that said cms_conte0nt. After clinking it says error can't find this file.

I cannot find anything that says pages so I am assuming that's where the 'content pages' go. Is there anything I can do to find a log of what might have happened? Or am I just stuck waiting for my hosting provider to restore the database and hope it will fix the issue?

We'll need a lot more information, including at the very least your CMSMS version and related server/host information.  Sounds like this is a shared host?  Have you checked your server logs for anything amiss?

Running Cmsms 1.6.7. I am assuming it is a shared server, using Bell hosting. we had a third party company install and build the site but I will try to provide as much info as possible. When I go to the log manager thats provided in the host control panel the latest entry shows from July 27 and it looks like just an access log, showing what people are trying to access not and deletions or modifications. Its running MySQL, PHP5, does not have ssh active and I can get into the phpmy admin as well it has a very limited gui for database management.
