[SOLVED] Internal links on moved pages

Post by RS.Franken »

I am using CMSMS 1.7.1 with pretty url enabled and so far I am pleased with the ease of use (for me that is). But, I have looked and looked, but can't find the answer to a (most likely) simple question, so I apologize if the question has been answered already.

I use TinyMCE to create the content and use the CMS Internal link meachinsme to create links from text. This all works just fine. However, I edited pages which were located under another page (newhome/somepage.html). Links there to another page below newhome, were of course pointing to newhome/anotherpage.html. No I moved all pages to the root of the site, but hovering still shows the newhome/somepage.html link, rather then somepage.html link. Search however returns the correct new paths.

I already cleared the cache, but that did not work. Am I missing something obvious here?

Thank you for your time.

Hi

Please check your TinyMCE settings at the Advanced tab

When CMS-linker link-style is set to -style, all links are hardcoded.
Therefore when a page is moved later on, the links doesn't change with it.

I did find a reference to that setting, and changed it but it dit not seem to work (I only checked existing links). I now tested it again for new made links (after changing the setting) and it works. Thank you! Now I just need to revisit the internal links (and make note for new websites to change that setting).

Grtz,

Richard
