Post by blackfox »

Hi, I'm using cmsms 1.7.1 for Ubuntu.

Is there a way to export global content blocks in a simular way to exporting themes? I'm trying to research but not finding any anwsers.

Thanks

There is not. Are you trying to export it with a theme?

I have a couple cmsms sites where i use global content blocks extensively. Just trying to get it all from my localhost to my live host without re-writing all the global content blocks.

The easiest solution that I could think of would be to take a database dump on your localhost and import it on your live site. But that would overwrite what is on the live site so I am not sure if that will work in your situation.

Otherwise there really isn't a good export that I am aware of.

thats ok - that works for me anyway because the site isn't live yet - so dumping it is a great solution.  thanks!
