[Solved]Help!!!!

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved]Help!!!!

Post by Genevie »

I set up my XAMPP and installed CMSMS an d got it all running. I exported the sql database file and imported it to the webserver and the db is all set up.

But when I transfer the files I get all the wrong paths. How can I sort this out? The files look okey, but it says, can not find XAMPP.... bla bla bla. I would appreciate help with this issue.

Yes, I have followed this. Now I am trying to reload the CMSMS from scratch on the server, so if I get that going later upload my changes.

Perhaps:
Rolf wrote: You could try to let cmsms create a new config.php.
Make a backup of files and database
Copy the install folder to the server and
do: some-website.com/install
Let the installer do its job, but
in step 5 don't let it create tables and demo content!!!
Unckeck these options.
Otherwise your database will be overwritten.

The installer will recreate all server paths in the config.php now...

I can log in to the site via mydomail/cmsmadesimple/admin and see the database. But I cant wiew the pages. Under Global I get these error messages:

string(54) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "siteprefs.tpl""
string(55) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "systeminfo.tpl""
string(53) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "checksum.tpl""

When I try and view the page, I get Site down for maintenance (the default setting)

When I do this I can follow the install steps but the picture of the sep numbers are just red crosses. I have reinstalled the whole package, but still the same. So now I will try your advice anyway

Get errors like this when I run the install steps:

string(123) "Smarty error: [in installheader.tpl line 31]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'assign' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 590)"

This is doing my head in!

Uhmm...  :-\

- Can you access the System Information in the admin? Please put a copy of it in here.
- On your local install create a checksum file at Site Admin >> System Verification.
- Try to reupload the files with Filezilla. Don't use a Wifi connection.
- Test files integrity with the new checksumfile
- Check folder permissions (ownership)
- Rename .htaccess files in the folders to htaccess.txt
- ...

I reinstalled everything again (for the third time) but put all the files directly in the root (no cmsmadesimple folder). I uploaded an empty config.php and I uploaded the install folder and done a new install (without the database update).

And now it works.

So now I am happy again  ;D
