Categories Page followed by a product specification Page

Hi Guys,

Sorry quite new to alot of this.. Just wondering if anyone has come up with the best methods of passing information from a categories page to a products page to make it easier for the end user to add a product.

I have a categories page full of printers, and im wanting the short description on the categories page passing to the product specification page. What's the best method?
