Cant login

I am using cmsmadesimple Version 1.2.5 "Free Hill" -- May 12, 2008
and i cant login to the admin of my site. When i type the username and password it reloads the login page giving no errors.

I need a solution fast... can someone please help.

I have reset the password to admin/admin... still no solution

1.2.5 is very old and is no longer supported.  Back up your database and perform a clean install (preferably of the latest CMSms version), but do not create tables or install the sample content.  You will be able to create a username/pw during the install.

My concern is my site templates and the news items i have in the database that go way back to 2007... do you think they will all work with the newest version 1.7.1?
