Hi
I am having problems uploading files through the file manager.
When I first installed the CMSMS I had an warning message saying my upload limit was set to 2M. I continued with the installation as I was not sure how to change the php.ini at this point. Everything is working OK. I subsequetly found out how to access the php.ini (I think) and changed this to 10m. The CMSMS System Info now shows 10m, I have cleared the cache etc but I still get errors when trying to upload files larger than 2mb.
Any suggestions. The system is running on a Webfusion VPS with Plesk and Virtuozzo.

Re: File manager upload - file size to big, although php.ini changed
Hi Howey
Why do you think the filesize might be the problem here?
Did you try to change the folder permissions of the Upload folder to 777 recursive.
And set the Umask in Global Settings to 000
Regards, Rolf

Hi
mmm I will try that - although I never like messing with things like permissions. I had a nasty experience a while back with a hacker that has made me nervous about lowering security.
I'll give it a go.
Cheers

Re: File manager upload - file size to big, although php.ini changed
and remember the config.php setting as well (I just don't remember if that is effecting your System info for upload size)
And more settings like time limits etc also have effects on success uploads.
And please paste the errors - the details tell us much more than you do so far...

Hi
Thanks for the info - any advice help is very much appreciated.
I don't know whether to put solved or not. I think I need to do some reading and get up to speed with file permissions etc. and then delve under the hood a bit more.
I need to look at the cong fig file again as well.
The days seem to short at the moment for me to keep on top of everything.
Regards
Paul
