Cannot edit pages

I have just started having a problem and I cannot figure out what has changed: If I go to edit a page, there is no content box.  In the "Main Tab" for adding/editing a page, the last box is "Parent:". I have run the debug and got the following but I would really appreciate some help in fixing it.

Is there at least one {content} in your page template?

I might not have been clear but this is editing the page from the admin panel and so the template is not relevant.

I have done a total deletion and reinstall. This took a long time as it seems something was corrupt and not simply missing, and it also seemed to be in my database, as replacing all the files didn't solve the prob. This was very unfortunate and disturbing as I don't know how it came about. CMSMS is the best CMS available, but this is the second total deletion I have had to do to fix a problem. It might be my host, but what ever it is, I think I might have to find something else which I can't break

Yes, it is!!
If you don't have the {content} tag in your template, the page editor won't show you the WYSIWYG editor. And therefore you can't edit the page...

Thanks for that info. I didn't realise that. Unfortunately it's a bit late for me to check that all out, but I will keep it in mind if that ever happens again. Thanks for your time.

In addition to that, the page that you are editting is presented as what is presented in the edit-part.
In CMSMS, you can call multiple content-blocks in different parts of the page, so when you have {content} and an additional {content block='second'}, then while editting the page attached to that template, the edit will show 2 editareas.
