[solved]add new content page, missing options, Image Thumbnail & Template

Hi,

This is my first attempt of trying to use CMSMS, & getting close to giving up
I've installed 1.7.1 4 times now & still get same result of missing options. even differnet domains & downloaded release twice
When I click on Add new content  according to documnetaion & web pages I'm suppose to see the following:-
content ype
Title
menu Text
parent
image
thunbnail
template
Content box...
WYSIWYG

But in my case:-  I don't see the option of Image/Thumnbnail/template.

when things are missing it's very hard to understand how the CMSMS package works.
I added new template that part was OK. but cannot proceed.
maybe it's an installation issue, the checksum fails but list other langauge files missing , nothing else

would appriate some help to get me moving on

this must be new as all the documenation I've seen & video's don't show the need to click on options.
