Group permissions on New pages?

Post by cypherdog »

Hello Everyone,

I've got a user group called SME that has permissions to add new pages to everything under there TOP Parent page. However, when they add pages individually it doesn't automatically add them to there group. So none of the other users can see these pages.

Anyway I can make pages group owned rather then individually owned?

Thanks.

If that is the only group of editors that you have, then you could set the defaults for new content, under "Site admin -> Page defaults", then tick the editor-group there, and all new pages will get them as add-editor by default.

Sorry for not replying sooner.

Unfortunately, this won't work in my case as I have several different groups with different permissions managing several parts of the website.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Nope,

currently it doesnt work like that.... In the 2-series a tree-based permission model is foreseen.
In 1-series, there is only the current set.
