As stated in the subject, I would like to add a column to the list of pages in the admin panel so that I can view the alias name of a page and not only the title.
I need it because I'm using the hierarchy for url rewriting purpose but I must go into every pages just to check that my naming convention is correct which is quite annoying, having the alias names directly would be a lot faster to me.
Since I didn't find an option in the preferences to display that column, I guess I'll have to tweak the sources ... can anybody help me a bit sonce I never hacked CMSMS source before.
Anyway, I personnaly think this would be a nice little feature to add to a new release ... I'll add it by the way to the features request.
Thank you in adavnce.
Regards.
How can I add alias name of pages in the pages admin section ?
Re: How can I add alias name of pages in the pages admin section ?
Hi,
Thanks for the trick, I'll take a look at it.
I know hacking the core is not the best way to do that but unless this features appears sometime in a near future (well, if it appears anyway ...), I'll stick with this and try to be careful with upgrades and of course, not worrying the developpers with that.
Anyway, this is quite a simple and not crucial feature but it helps as even, like you said, having the alias in the title over the mouse is usefull, this is not enough since you have to pass over every line, one by one waiting a few seconds for the title to appear ... I'd rather prefer seeing every alias at the same time directly.
Having the alias name on the same column as the page name is ok, a separated column would have been nicer but that way is already a good point to me.
Thanks for your help.

It may not work out that way, if you've hacked core files you are no longer eligible for support. if you know enuf to hack it you know enuf to fix it...hybrid512 wrote: I know hacking the core is not the best way******** I'll stick with this and try to be careful with upgrades and of course, not worrying the developers with that.
