Site URL not updating after DNS change [solved]

Hi, I'm not sure what to title this but it should make sense if you read the description, at least I hope!

I'm using CMSMS ver 1.7, and it's being hosted by HostGator.


We uploaded everything to HostGator's hosting before making a DNS switch, so all the URLs were something like:

http://gator1172.hostgator.com/~gesinst/events

We made the DNS switch, so now the CMSMS site is:

http://gesellinstitute.org/events/

However, as soon as you click on any links, the URL reverts to the hostgator URL instead of our domain name. Typing in the domain name instead of the HostGator domain just redirects to the HostGator one.

This is the only part of the site using CMSMS and I just noticed this problem yesterday.


Any thoughts or fixes for this? Thanks!

I tried searching and I didn't find any problems quite like this. I don't think this is a problem on my host's end but on the CMS' end and I'm not sure where to fix it.

Search for "site transfer", "move to root", "move site". You need to change paths in your config.php file (several of them).
