Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I am computer literate but know little about programming.
I would like to know how to place a large photo at the top of each web page, but don't know how to embed the photo from my image manager, to the top of each page. I know how to place a photo in the text on each page, but not at the top. Currently, I have a photo on the top of each page, but wish to change it. I also have a temp holding page, upon which I am unable to place a photo.
I am running (v.1.5.4).
Many thanks.
Placing photos at the top of a webpage.
Re: Placing photos at the top of a webpage.
1.5.4 is no longer supported...
There are many ways to change the image at the top of a web page, I use things like {$page_alias} as a class to call different images in the css, others will use it in the img src call naming the image after the page alias, all depends on how the template is made and what you prefer...

Hi Doc,
Thanks for your reply.
I had somone construct the website for me, but found the relationship a little problematic, so have decided to take more responsibility and learn how to do things myself. The matter of embedding a photo at the top of each template is one of the things I'm trying to resolve. I have looked in the CMS and can find no way at all, of allocating an image from the image library to the top of the template. I can embed them within the body copy, but not at the top.. all very frustrating.
I don't wish to test your patience, because I am pretty dopey with my technical insight, but I'll have a look at that which you suggest. Many thanks.

Peciura,
Many thanks. I have just had a quick sweep of that and although it has gone completely over my head, when I get back in a few hours, I'll print it oof and I'm sure it'll make more sense. Once again, many thanks for taking the time. I'll let you know how I get on.
