CTL Module Maker | Filter Children by Parent's parent

Post by cmaunoury »

Hi all,

maybe I am too tired and this is obvious. I have looked over the forum for a while and read Plger FAQ's and Forge thread but could not find any direct answer to that (there is a post in the Dutch form that seems to be about that, but my Dutch is not so good...)

I have a module made with CTL Module Maker with three levels: Status / Categories / Objects

What I would like to do is to make two pages that displays the Objects that have a certain parent in Status (like "Objects whose status is "some value") and another page where it displays the Objects that have another Status as parent.

My parent level has only two values, so I tried first with only two levels and a simple checkbox in the Objects that says "show here" or "show there" and a query for display but it messes up with the Category level that shows everything.

Is there anyway I can call my Objects with something like that:

{cms_module module="objects" what="objects" parent="status"}, so basically, filtering through parent's parents and not direct parents?

Or is there any other way to have this behavious?

Thanks a bunch,

Colin
