Want a Great Calendar - Modulize This!

I'd like to know if anyone would like to turn the popular phpEventCalendar into a module.  I'd do it, except the documentation for creating modules isn't there at this point.

I think modulizing this would be a simple process, and, with all the commotion regarding calendar modules around here, would be popular.

I don't see any advantage over the current Calendar module.

Script renders a month-at-a-glance calendar that displays events that have been added by a calendar administator or editor, has templates, colors and size customizable through css file, Adjustable weekstart.

Many of the features they have in their  'wish list / in progress' list are already features of the current Calendar module.
