php time limit

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

php time limit

Post by noeyes »

Hello
I have a question.
I use hostgater.com for hosting, and i have installed cms made simple.
Under the installation a got a message, it saids, that i have 30 seconds in time limit, is that enough?
I have tryed to contact hostgater, and they said, it is the maximal time.
I have read about it on the internet, and there is many shared host's, there the 30 seconds time limit is max.

Best regards

You mean max_execution_time?

I have several CMS Made Simple sites running with a max_execution_time of 30 seconds. You just keep in mind that when something isn't working, this could be the cause.

(For example updating modules through ModuleManager, then you could download the xml-file from the forge and upload/update it seperately with ModuleManager)
