[solved] Error in Step 6 upgrading to 1.7

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[solved] Error in Step 6 upgrading to 1.7

Post by kerryshamblin »

Upgrading from 1.6 to 1.7. Steps 1-5 of the install/upgrade process go fine, and when I get to Step 6, all it says is "ERROR:" Does anyone know what Step 6 is doing?

Upgrading CMSMS from 1.6 (1.6.6 I think) to 1.7
MySQL 5.0
PHP 5.2.13
Apache 2.2.15
FreeBSD 7.2-STABLE On i386
config.php writable

From reading the forum, I thought that my installed CGExtensions may be causing the problem, so I manually removed the directory from /modules, but then I just got a blank page that said CGExtensions isn't installed, so I put it back. When I access the front end or the back end of the site, I get a blank page that says ERROR:

When I visit /install/upgrade.php, I can go through the install/upgrade steps with no problem until step 6, where again it just prints ERROR: below the 7 boxes that represent the installation steps.

Thanks, Doc.

I couldn't figure it out, so I re-installed CMSMS and populated it with my backup. Re-installed and upgraded all modules. All is working.
