Child Pages issue, not sure if it's from upgrade

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Child Pages issue, not sure if it's from upgrade

Post by Locker101 »

Heyas

I just installed a fresh copy of 1.67, and then upgraded it to 1.7.
For some reason, in the admin panel, I can't see created child pages. The arrows are there, but when clicked, they don't expand to show anything.

I'm not sure if I've done something wrong or if it's a bug!

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem :(

When I create child page, it is not shown in admin panel. Nevertheless, the page exists, because I can't create another page with the same name, and I can make a link to it in TinyMCE

In TinyMCE html:

Code: Select all

<a href="{cms_selflink href='about_en'}">1.1. About</a><br /><br />
But then I load the page, and the link doesn't work. Here is HTML:

Code: Select all

<h1>ENGLISH</h1>
         <a href="">1.1. About</a><br /><br />
So links to child pages does not visible not only in admin panel, but at the site pages also.

My system: CMSMS 1.7, fresh install
PHP  5.2.6
memory_limit: 32M
server_api - apache
server_db_type - MySQL (mysql) 5.0.51a
server_software: Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 PHP/5.2.6 mod_ssl/2.8.31 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-p1 rus/PL30.22
server_os: FreeBSD 6.3-RELEASE-p13 Вкл i386

nonmuseum.ru
exactly the page I wrote about: nonmuseum.ru/en/

As you see, it is standart sample content of CMSMS. But there are no links to child pages.

I'm also having this problem.  Child pages exist, but don't appear in Content > Pages.  Even if you access them directly by typing in the full path plus page alias, it doesn't render correctly.  Using 1.7.

http://www.foyadultdaycare.org/index.php?page=home

There should be child pages under "About Us".  You can access a child page directly, but it doesn't show properly.  For example:   http://www.foyadultdaycare.org/index.php?page=history

Strange thing is, on another recent installation of 1.7, I didn't have this problem.  The only difference is that one is hosted on GoDaddy (the one that is having problems) and the other is hosted on HostGator and works fine.

Hello allisonfoley

For a start I find on this page: string(59) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "content:content_en""
Is this familiar to you?

Where should I find these child pages in the frontend normaly?

What is your System Information?
