Why CMSMS?

Post by bigwhitedog »

I am a simple sales geek for a small design firm. We are looking for a CMS that we can build in to some of our sites so that clients can do some of their own maintenance and I have to be able to sell my clients on it.

So here is my straight up request. Sell me on this program.

In simple language an idiot sales guy can understand, what can this program do for my company and my clients?

What are some of the best features (keeping in mind that my bosses can hand-write code if needed and don't use WYSIWYGs) for a client user?

What can't it do?

Not trying to be confrontational by any means, just bottom line. Why CMSMS. I am not looking for testimonials (I have heard good things which is why I am here), just facts and features

Thank you very much in advance.

Wow, so nobody is passionate about this program? I was really hoping for some passion, some enthusiasm, something that I could pass on to my clients. Interesting. Lots of users but no acolytes?

There is lots of passion.. I write mods, I'm in here helping others get more out of it.  If you want a reason why :D cmsms is a time saver.  If your boss can hand write code have they take a spin around, they will see the IMHO this is the best app you can get.  Besides why reinvent the wheel, just make it rounder.

Really if I have found no better, and I've try them all, no better to hand off to clients.  For example, I'm going to produce a whole site today.  A 30 page site, from a uncut psd today.  When you get the hang of it, you'll be able produce many sites in a week.  Detailed... few features like a gallery (that the client can easily maintain) and a blog... all today... and still write more of my mod stuff.

Really if you try it, and you know the traditional way to produce sites, CMSMS is tops!!!!!!!

Cheers -Jeremy

There is loads of passion, but unfortunately we have burned ourselves out answering your question over and over and over and over.

Do a little bit of searching and you will see this discussion many times over. Also, as DrCss pointed out... do a test run. It should hopefully speak for itself. We can type till we are blue in the face, but you won't get it till you login to the admin and play around. Then go and try out some other CMS's. From our experience you will like the ease of use for CMSMS and will be back :)
If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.
