Theme Manager Import problem: "Problem saving the files encoded in the theme."

I suspect this problem is related to a permission issue?
during installation the installer reported full success on all permission checking, but when I first export theme(s) to file and then import it, I get this message:

"Error!
Problem saving the files encoded in the theme."

Any help will be appreciated.

If you send me the theme I'll take a look at it.  I didn't gleam much information from the error message, even after I looked it up in the theme manager code.

I'm not so sure the problem is the file, since I have had trouble with every file I've try to export and then import (without changing it). (But you should have a copy now, I guess ... )
