[SOLVED] Page alias defaulting to 'alias'

Post by AmandaBTO »

I'm currently working with cmsms 1.6.7 but I've noticed this with other versions too.

For some reason, all of a sudden, all my page aliases are defaulting to 'alias', 'alias-1', etc instead of transforming the menu text.  Or does it use the page title?  Anyway, at first the aliases where what they were supposed to be and now they're using 'alias-x'.

If I submit the new content and go back and delete the incorrect default 'alias-x' it creates the proper alias.  I've got a lot of pages to create and don't want to have to do this extra step.

Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
amanda

Have you checked to make sure the alias box is blank before hitting submit button?...

So that's my problem.  I need to change the template and I've been doing that before entering the menu text / title.

With default template, alias = ""
With template change, alias = "alias"

Thanks!
