I haven't uses CMS made simple before
I want to create my own designs in HTML,CSS etc and then attach CMS Made simple onto the back of the site.
Please can you tell me which files I need to download to do this? What do I run them in? Thanks.
What files do I need to download from this site to get started?

Re: What files do I need to download from this site to get started?
I have a similar simple question about files needed to install.
I am following the Install via FTP instructions here:
http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php ... ck_Install
Step one is:
Download the latest stable release http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/downloads.shtml if you want to use CMSMS in a production environment.
(Ignore the fact that it is a bad hyperlink - I'm sure the page it is trying to take me to is here:)
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/files/6#package-1
But I am presented with several file options here, and I don't know which ones to choose for my brand new first time installation:
Stable Releases
1.7 Released On: 2010-03-20 19:33 | Changelog
cmsmadesimple-1.7-base-checksum.dat Size: 159787 Downloads: 82
cmsmadesimple-1.7-base.tar.gz Size: 3938121 Downloads: 251
cmsmadesimple-1.7-checksums.dat Size: 3080 Downloads: 27
cmsmadesimple-1.7-full-checksum.dat Size: 227388 Downloads: 104
cmsmadesimple-1.7-full.tar.gz Size: 5723802 Downloads: 836
cmsmadesimple-base-diff-1.6.7-1.7.tar.gz Size: 352959 Downloads: 112
cmsmadesimple-full-diff-1.6.7-1.7.tar.gz Size: 555617 Downloads: 225
I'm sure there must be an explanation of whether I need "base", "full" or "base-diff" or "full-diff" but I certainly can't find it, not to mention what is the "checksums" file which seems to be orphaned there.
Can anyone please help with this so I can keep going? An explanation would be nice but a link to the official description of what these files are would be good too.

Answered my own question, here:
http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/downloads/
The CMS Made Simple core is distributed in 2 versions. The base version consists of just the English language files, while the full version has all of the language packs included. If you're upgrading from a version previous to 1.4, then you should download the full package. New installs can just use the base package and download the translations needed.
