Re: Host Database
Ahh. GoDaddy. The error message that I see looks like a server issue. Have you filed a ticket with them? I had an issue with them yesterday, where several of my database's domain names couldn't be found. Filed a ticket and they fixed it 6 hours later.

Re: Host Database
I did, this is what they reply:
Support Staff Response
Dear Sir or Madam,
As stated previously the error that is occurring is due to the .htaccess and/or web.config files in your hosting account. As this is a custom scripting error we are unable to advise you on how to correct this issue. You will need to review your scripts in order to resolve the issue.
& i already change the config.php host database. but what about .htaccess? does that involve?

Re: Host Database
Your error message mentions p50mysql19.secureserver.net/cms_ge_u, which looks like the old mysql host name and the new database name..
Check $config['db_hostname'].. I suspect it's wrong.

You need to check all path settings in config.php or post it here (with database password deleted).

Re: Host Database
1) I don't know if the "-" character as part of the name of folder is allowed. Other than that, paths look to be set correctly
2) The database information, however, still does not look correct. Most hosting providers do not allow database names like this (just "cms"). You need to click on the database in your hosting and get to the page listing all connection details for that database. You can also contact your hosting provider.
Without a PM of a screenshot of your hosting database page, I can do very little.

Re: Host Database
It's confusing us because now you're talking about a different domain and database than what your original post was about. I still believe that your db_name is wrong.
According to the config.php files in my GoDaddy sites, the name of the database is always the first part of the subdomain. In your case it would be cms_bffo. For the domain in the original post, the database name would be cms_ge_u.
Code: Select all
$config['db_hostname'] = 'cms_bffo.db.5856248.hostedresource.com';
$config['db_name'] = 'cms';

Like I said, go into the database information portion of your hosting panel, or call your hosting. Otherwise, you would need to PM somebody a screenshot of the real config.php settings.
